By the virtue of playing Damon for a few years [is that] I officially have a lot of experience seducing younger women.
I think what people forget is that the writers write Damon too.
The things Damon does that make us love him, they write that.
They write him being selfless, they write him the way that he is and I doubt if they didn’t care about him or Delena that they would do that. It’s not like Damon is Damon all on his own and the writers are writing the rest of the story to hurt him, they write Damon too.
They could very easily fuck up his character by making him do things that he doesn’t have an explanation for or that could possibly make us turn against him but they don’t. We wouldn’t love Damon or Delena the way that we do if it weren’t for the writers.
